The Autism Assemble Portal

In 2016 we started developing an idea to have a real-life work experience setting for Autistic Individuals looking for genuine, effective work experience. Over two years of experience we now have the Autism Assemble Portal, led by Jan Wright, as a successful charity shop in Torpoint (Cornwall, UK) which specialises in bringing Autistic individuals onto the team for work experience.

Within this role, we provide flexible specialisation in tasks, development of interpersonal skills and assistance in jobseeking, such as CV, job application and interview techniques.

As of May 2018 we have also set up a Sensory Garden and miniature Garden Centre which aims to reconnect Autistic people with nature and the joy of nurturing plants to sell. If you are Autistic and would like to develop your skills here we currently have one volunteering place available during term time and two available during August ’18! Please apply through the form below.

*Last updated 25/6/2018. Please be advised that Mondays are currently unavailable during Term Times but will be available during August.
